Armin A. Walker, 84, Of Cos Cob, Pastry Chef, Cook And Head Chef

COS COB, Conn. - Armin A. Walker of Cos Cob died Sept. 13. He was 84.

Walker was born Dec. 29, 1929, in Erstfeld, Switzerland, to Joachim and Frieda Bissig Walker. After graduating from trade school as a pastry chef in Aarau, he moved to countries vast and varied. From Switzerland, he immigrated to Sweden, Venezuela and, ultimately, the United States. As a pastry chef and cook, he worked in many places including J.J. Cassone's Bakery, The Clam Box, Lou Singer's Steakhouse, Stauffer Chemical Company in Westport, Nestlé in White Plains, St. Moritz Bakery and The Greenwich Senior Center as head chef.

Walker is survived by his wife, Margaret; daughter, Sandra; two sisters; two nieces; many nephews; and countless friends. He was predeceased by his brothers; and a nephew.

A memorial gathering will be held Sunday, Sept. 21 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home, 31 Arch St., Greenwich.
