Work Begins On Stairs, Sidewalk At Greenwich's Riverside Train Station

GREENWICH, Conn. – Commuters utilizing the Riverside Metro-North Station in Greenwich are advised to allow themselves a little extra time this month due to a construction project.

Workers and contractors with the Department of Public Works Engineering Division will be building a new sidewalk and curb alongside Carrona Drive.

They will also replace the wood stairs at Riverside Station with new concrete stairs.

In addition, the existing area for bicycle parking will be moved and upgraded during the project.

Work began Friday, Dec. 5, and is expected to continue until Tuesday, Dec. 23.

Construction hours will be between 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturdays.
