Woman Arrested With Fake Prescription in Greenwich

GREENWICH, Conn. – A Bronx, N.Y., woman was arrested in Greenwich Thursday trying to use a fake prescription to get Oxycodone at a CVS Pharmacy on East Putnam Ave, police said.

Pharmacists at the store told police they had a fake prescription for the narcotic after verifying with the prescribing doctor. Latisha Stacey Bankston, 25, of 900 Ogden Avenue Apt. #1C, attempted to pick up the prescription from the pharmacy when police arrested her. Police also found another fake prescription for another person from the same doctor. She also had $780 in cash, which police seized as evidence.

Bankston was charged with criminal attempt at possession of narcotics, two counts of forgery and two counts of possession of a forged prescription. She was being held on a $2,500 bond and is due in court Sept. 23.
