Woman Arrested With Drugs in Pharmacy Bathroom

A Stamford woman was arrested in the men’s room of the Walgreen’s pharmacy in Old Greenwich on drug charges Monday.

A man found Karen Wenbert, 42, of 61 Seaview Ave., in the bathroom of the pharmacy with a bottle filled with narcotics and a hypodermic needle, police said. She was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on $1,000 bond and is due in court June 20.

Also from the Greenwich Police Department:

• Matthew Hernandez, 39, of Yonkers, N.Y., was arrested on charges of risk of injury to a minor and breach of peace after fighting with a 14-year-old girl on Valley Road in Greenwich on Monday. He was released on $1,000 bond and was due in court Tuesday. 

• Paul Green, 38, of 42 Hendrie Ave., Greenwich, was arrested Monday on drug charges when police allegedly saw him attempting to smoke marijuana out of an apple in his car. He was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana of less than 4 ounces and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a promise to appear in court June 20.
