Great-great-grandmother Elsa Capozza, 89, died Saturday in Greenwich surrounded by her devoted family. She was born in Morra De Sanctis, Italy, on Dec. 15, 1920, to the late Rocco and Maria DiSanto. She came to the United States in 1966.
Capozza loved to cook and entertain guests. She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and reminiscing through photos.
She is survived by three sons, Gerardo, Michele and Ugo; three daughters, Maria, Lucia and Concetta, 18 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. Friends and family may visit the Castiglione Funeral Home on Monday and Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Roch Church. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Greenwich.
