Despite clear, sunny skies, wind chills between 10 and 20 below zero will linger during the day.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind-chill advisory from noon Friday through 10 a.m. Saturday for the area.
Snow will begin to move through the area Saturday afternoon, mostly after 4 p.m. with a high near 28. Up to 4 inches of new snow is possible through Saturday night.
Snow and ice will linger Sunday before noon, then turn over to rain as temperatures rise above freezing.
Colder temperatures are expected to return Monday with a high of only 27.
