Want to win $10,000 for your organization? In the spirit of the holiday season, we at TheDailyGreenwich.com are giving away nearly $20,000 to not-for-profit organizations. Starting today, you can register your not-for-profit organization for our Santa's Wish List promotion, which will give local not-for-profit organizations a chance to win up to $10,000.
As a community news organization, we know that times are tough, and not-for-profit organizations need funding now more than ever. With the holiday season upon us, we as a company want to give back to organizations like yours that serve our local community.
Here's how the promotion works: Until December 10, all 501(c)(3) organizations based in our 10 towns will have an opportunity to register on our sites. When the registration period is over, we will post a list of all registered not-for-profits on our sites. On December 1, our readers will be able to vote for their not-for-profit of choice. At the end of Round One, on December 10, the 10 not-for-profits with the most votes will move on to Round Two, which will begin on December 10th. At that point, all vote totals will return to zero, and readers will begin voting on those 10 organizations.
When Round Two ends on December 24th, the organization that has received the most votes will receive $10,000. The runner-up will receive $5,000, and the eight remaining organizations will each receive $500 stocking stuffers.
