The lights are on but nobody's home. Neighbors of the Hamilton School want to know why the school's parking garage lights are left on day and night. Schools have been out since June and the garage doors only open with a swipe card, so who are we keeping safe?
According to published reports, Susan Chipouras, the district's facilities director said that since security lighting is flawed in some areas, the lights have remained on at night for safety purposes. Chipouras said the district is looking into repair costs but will continue to keep the lights on until the repairs are finished.
The money that is paying to keep the lights on is coming out of taxpayer's pockets. What are your thoughts on this issue?
