Pottery discussion: 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Professor Martin Eidelberg will speak on “The Birth of American Art Pottery Movement (1875-1915)” at the Bruce Museum, 1 Museum Drive. Admission is $135 for nonmembers and $95 for members. Call 203-966-9291 for more information.

Screening of “No Kidding Me Too!” Actor and mental health advocate Joseph Pantoliano will screen his documentary and host a panel discussion at Greenwich Library.

Author Talk: 7 p.m. Two-time Pulitzer Prize winner David McCullough will discuss his book, “The Greater Journey: Americans in Paris,” at Greenwich Library's Cole Auditorium, presented by Diane’s Books and the Greenwich Library. Admission is free.

Wednesday, May 16

Tour of Central Park: 9:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. Greenwich Green & Clean and the Greenwich Tree Conservancy hold a tour of the North Woods of Central Park. Meet at Island Beach Parking lot. Admission is $75 for bus transportation, tour and lunch, or $45 tour and lunch only.

Selectmen’s Nominations Advisory Committee: 9:30 a.m. Greenwich Town Hall Mazza Room.

Community Kitchen Tour: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Old Greenwich and Riverside Community Center’s Kitchen Tour fundraiser, including gift boutique. Tickets are on sale at Cook N’ Craft, 27 Arcadia Road, and the center’s offices at 90 Harding Road. Call 203-637-3659 for more information.

“The Secret Garden” musical: 7:30 p.m. Greenwich High School Theater Arts presents the musical at the high school’s auditorium, located at 10 Hillside Road. Admission is $15.

“Ancient Egyptian Mythology:” 8 p.m. The Archaeological Associates of Greenwich present Pat Remler in a discussion of ancient Egyptian mythology. Bruce Museum, 1 Museum Drive. Admission is $10 for nonmembers and free for association and museum members.
