“Understanding Memory” Discussion: 5:30-7 p.m. The Alzheimer’s Consortium of Southwestern Connecticut’s program “Understanding Memory: What’s Usual and What’s Not,” Greenwich Library Meeting Room. Admission is free.

Advocacy Video Workshop With Roger Sherman: 6:30 p.m. Ken Burns’ filmmaking partner, Roger Sherman, discusses how to shoot footage to make a powerful argument and emotionally connect with viewers. Pizza and drinks will be served to workshop participants. Carmel Academy, 270 Lake Ave., Greenwich. Admission is $25.

Greenwich Newcomers Tapas Sampling at Barcelona: 6:30 p.m. Greenwich Newcomers Society will host an evening of tapas sampling at Barcelona Wine & Tapas bar, 18 W. Putnam Ave., Greenwich. Admission is $15.
