Virginia O. Moran, a resident of the Greenwich Woods Health Care Center, died Saturday, Jan. 8, of congestive heart failure. She was 85 years old.
Moran was born in New Haven. She moved to the New York suburbs with her family in the mid 1960s. For many years she worked as a manager at a Hallmark Card shop at B. Altman. Known affectionately as "Nana," she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially attending her grandsons' sporting events. Moran also liked entertaining friends, traveling and reading. She was a longtime member of Orienta Beach Club in Mamaroneck.
She is survived by her son, David, and three grandsons. A Mass will be held Friday, Jan. 14, at St. Michael the Archangel Church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to Greenwich Woods Healthcare.
