Tree Down In Greenwich Closes Road For Short Time

GREENWICH, Conn., -- A downed tree on Glenville Road between Valley Drive and Calhoun Drive in Greenwich closed the road to traffic Tuesday morning as the town's tree department worked to clear it.

The tree landed on power lines at about 7:30 a.m. Greenwich Police said it is not known why the tree came down.

The Connecticut Light & Power website reports no power outages in Greenwich.
