Supermarket Flasher Sought in Greenwich

Police are seeking the identity of a man who exposed himself to a 12-year-old girl in a Greenwich supermarket on April 22.

The man left the area driving an electric blue Toyota Prius that may have had Connecticut plates, said police. The car was last seen traveling west on West Putnam Avenue toward the New York state line. The Greenwich Police Department is seeking public assistance to identify the man.

"We had leads that dead-ended," said Lt. Kraig Gray, spokesman for the department, remarking on why the police delayed in notifying the public. "It's an investigative decision that has to be made in each case. We thought we were going into a different direction, so now we're looking for help."

Anyone with information should contact Detective James Manning at (203) 622-8030 or anonymously by email.
