Snow, Rain And Sleet Heads For Armonk

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A mix of snow, sleet and icy rain will move through Westchester County on Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday evening and could make for a slippery commute home, according to the National Weather Service.

Precipitation will begin to develop in the area after 1 p.m. with rain and snow until 3 p.m. before changing over to snow and sleet. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent and total snow and sleet accumulation is expected to be less than half an inch. 

Snow and sleet is expected to change over to rain after midnight with temperatures pushing near 40 by 1 a.m. Chance of overnight rain is near 100 percent. 

Wednesday will begin mostly cloudy but will gradually clear with a high temperature around 48 degrees. 

Thursday will be mostly sunny before rain moves through the region on Friday afternoon.
