Slush Fills Greenwich Streets, Not Accidents

Greenwich Avenue is covered with slush and the Greenwich schools were, but it was a surprisingly quiet day for the Greenwich Police Department. No road closures, power outages or accidents were reported as a result of the snowy and icy storm that blasted through the area Tuesday.

Although other parts of Fairfield County and the state were covered in ice, roads in Greenwich were fairly clear by Tuesday afternoon. Precipitation is expected to decrease into the evening hours. It will remain cloudy with a low of 30 degrees overnight. The forecast calls for the town to be hit again starting at 6 a.m. Wednesday with a mix of snow and rain. It will last on and off until late Wednesday afternoon.
