Route 58 Closed In Redding Due To Tree In Wires

REDDING, Conn. — Route 58 in Redding is closed Wednesday in the aftermath of the destructive thunderstorm that moved through town, according to the state Department of Transportation. 

The closure is one mile south of Route 107 in the vicinity of Putnam State Park and Putnam Park Road. 

A fallen tree is stuck in electrical wires. 

Nearly half of Redding remains without power Wednesday morning after the storm.
