FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Repair work continued Saturday morning on scattered power outages remaining in Fairfield County — as well as on some new ones.

A new outage affecting 888 customers in Shelton was reported Saturday morning by United Illuminating. The power out was described as "unexpected" and the timeframe for repairs was unknown.

Other outages, which have been in place since a powerful storm rolled through the state late Wednesday, were still reported Saturday morning in:

  • Bridgeport: 1 customer
  • Bethel: 1 customer
  • Brookfield: 10 customers
  • Danbury: 25 customers
  • Darien: 1 customer
  • Easton : 1 customer
  • Fairfield: 68 customers
  • Greenwich: 33 customers
  • Monroe: 8 customers
  • New Fairfield: 20 customers
  • Newtown: 29 customers
  • Redding: 24 customers
  • Ridgefield: 49 customers
  • Sherman: 8 customers
  • Stamford: 15 customers

Eversource has previously said it hopes to have all outages repaired by Saturday. It already restored power to tens of thousands of customers across the state who had been left in the dark by the storm.
