FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. - Downpours should drench Fairfield County on Friday, with the heaviest rain falling during the morning commute.

One to two inches of rain could soak the county, the National Weather Service said. The high will be around 69, and there's also a chance of a thunderstorm.

The heaviest rain should taper off Friday afternoon with wet weather lingering into the night. But Saturday should be a perfect fall day, with sun and highs in the high-60s, the NWS said.

Sunday should be slightly cooler.
