Polly Torres, Greenwich High Cafeteria Worker

Polly Torres, a resident of Greenwich for most of her life, died on May 26. She was 81.

Torres was born in Virginia on July 17, 1929, to Philip and Rosetta Ware Foster. She worked in the cafeteria at Greenwich High School for many years. She was a devoted member of Anointed Ones Ministry Church in Port Chester, N.Y.

Torres is survived by her son, Kevin Pina and wife Bobbi, of Bridgeport, and her daughter, Bernadette Colon and husband Hector, of Naugatuck. She is also survived by three sisters, five brothers and three grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, May 31, at Lester Gee Funeral Home, located at 1390 Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport, with a service to follow at the funeral home at 12 p.m. Internment will follow at the Mountain Grove Cemetary in Bridgeport.
