NASA Rocket Launch May Be Visible To Armonk Residents

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Residents may have the opportunity to view a NASA's Orbital Sciences Antares rocket and Cygnus spacecraft on Monday evening, Oct. 27, in their own backyard around 5:45 p.m., according a report by Space.com.

The launch is the first night launch of the two-stage Antares rocket, and the flight could be visible from Massachusetts to South Carolina, according to the report. 

The rocket will carry about 5,050 pounds of cargo, the heaviest load delivered by a Cygnus to the International Space Station, according to NASA.gov.
