Greenwich Students Organize Race to Promote Safe Driving

MT. KISCO, N.Y. – The Grand Prix New York will host a 90-minute endurance race to benefit Project Yellow Light, a group that promotes awareness about distracted driving, on Friday, June 14.

The event is organized by Greenwich High School students Ben Albano, a Grand Prix New York Junior League Champion and MAZDASPEED Challenge driver, and his classmate Beau Dealy.  Albano and Dealy are soliciting high school participants throughout Fairfield, Conn. and Westchester.

About 20 teams of two to five drivers will race to complete the most laps in the allotted time, competing for prizes that include seats in the Skip Barber Teen Safety and Survival School.

The race begins at 7 p.m. The Grand Prix New York is located at 333 North Bedford Road in Mt. Kisco.
