Metro-North Crash Cleanup Tops Greenwich News This Week

GREENWICH, Conn. -- The cleanup from the dramatic Metro-North train crash May 17 and subsequent reopening of the line were two of Greenwich's top stories for the week.

While the crash happened on the Bridgeport-Fairfield border, the repercussions were felt throughout Fairfield County.

Gov. Dannel Malloy warned of a possible travel nightmare on Monday, but commuters found a fairly easy ride to work . Video showed the cleanup crews working quickly on the tracks and full service was restored to Metro-North by late Tuesday .

In other news, Greenwich police arrested a man after he allegedly threw a knife at and shot at a passing car .

A Greenwich compound off Indian Head Road was put on the real estate market for a whopping $190 million . It is the highest residential real estate listing in the country.
