Merritt Closed In Greenwich Due To Morning Accident

GREENWICH, Conn. -- The Merritt Parkway northbound was closed in Greenwich on Wednesday morning due to an accident shortly after 8 a.m., according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

The accident involved an overturned vehicle and occurred between Exits 27 and 28 on the northbound side of the Merritt. DOT said the crash involved two vehicles.

There was no indication when the incident would be cleared.

Motorists should expect long delays in the area, DOT said.
