Mel Gibson's Former Greenwich Mansion For Sale

GREENWICH, Conn. – The former Greenwich residence of one of Hollywood’s most volatile leading men, Mel Gibson, is on the market. Again.

The Aussie import sold the palatial mansion back in 2010 for $24 million. In 2012, the current owners are hoping someone will pay a cool $33 million to move in, a price increase of roughly 37.5 percent over two years.

The home was listed for sale in May of this year and then taken off the market. Now, according to Realtor.com , Old Mill Farm is back on and ready to dazzle perspective buyers. Originally designed in 1926 by architect Charles Lewis Bowman, Old Mill is the definition of a high-end luxury estate, from the top of its 40-foot cathedral ceiling all the way down to its wine cellar. Old Mill is situated on 75 very well-manicured acres which house formal gardens, a sculpted maze, a life size chess set, a terraced pool, tennis court, greenhouse, stable, staff houses, log cabin and a stream fed pond.

Inside the 15,800-plus-square-foot mansion you will find six fireplaces, a home theater, library, a spa, chef’s kitchen, in-law apartment and a security system to keep it all safe.

With all that opulence, you probably won’t even notice the extra 37 percent tacked onto the price. But who’s counting?
