GREENWICH, Conn. - Maxcene Bernard Moye of Greenwich died at Greenwich Hospital on Dec. 9. She was 95 years old.
She was born and raised in Goltry, Okla., and graduated from Philips University with a degree in music theory. She was a retired music teacher in the Framingham, Mass., public schools, former president of The Florence Crittendon League and an active supporter of The Shriners Burns Institute in Boston.
Moye was an accomplished musician and artist. She had been a resident of Nathaniel Witherell since October 2010.
Moye is survived by two daughters, Susan Morgan Ostapkowicz and her husband, Marek, and Nicole Witt; three grandchildren and a great-grandson. She was predeceased by her first husband, Huber Nicholas Bernard Jr., and her second husband, Harold J. Moye.
A memorial service at Nathaniel Witherell will be planned for a future date. All other arrangements will be private.
