Longtime Greenwich resident Mary W. Bohacs died on Jan 4. She was 84 years old.
Bohacs grew up in New Rochelle and graduated from Isaac Young High School there. Once she moved to Greenwich she became involved in parish activities at St. Mary Church. Bohacs also served as a scout leader and Eucharistic minister.
After retirement, Bohacs volunteered with the Ladies Guild and Greenwich Red Cross and worked at the polls during elections. She also enjoyed going to the beach and taking road trips. Bohacs was known to never miss a party with friends and family.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Julius, and her children, Kevin, Susan, Kenneth and Nancy. A Mass took place on Jan. 8 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Interment was at St. Mary Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich.
