Maritime Aquarium's New $2.6 Million Boat Leads Week’s News In Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. – The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk announcement that it was buying a new $2.6 million boat led the news in the city this week.

The as-yet-unnamed, 65-foot vessel will be built by Mamaroneck, N.Y.-based Robert E. Derecktor Inc. and will serve as a floating classroom for marine-science exploration in Long Island Sound. 

In other news, 880 Norwalk students graduated from the police Drug Abuse Resistance Education program.
