Man Held in Theft of $6,400 Watch

A Rhode Island man has been charged with stealing a $6,400 watch and $650 in cash from a locker at a Greenwich health club, police reported. Joseph J. Mrozewicz, 58, of North Providence was taken into custody by Greenwich detectives Monday at a corrections facility in Cranston. Mrozewicz had an arrest warrant from Sept. 8 for burglary and larceny. He is being held on a $10,000 bond and is due in court Sept. 20.

Also from the police blotter:

Dana Charlene Reidy, 36, of 28 Hunt Terr. in Greenwich was arrested on DWI charges early Tuesday at the Mobil gas station on West Putnam Avenue. She had driven into the lot ahead of a police officer. Reidy staggered inside the station's mart and had trouble standing. The officer smelled alcohol on her and she slurred as she spoke to the clerk. She was arrested after she failed field sobriety tests. She posted a $260 cash bond and is due in court Sept. 28.
