GREENWICH, Conn. — A Port Chester, N.Y., man was arrested after a two-car crash early Thursday morning at the intersection of Halstead Avenue and Caroline Place in Greenwich.

Jose R. Flores, 24, of 38 Madison Ave., was driving a white 1994 BMW, which he borrowed from a friend, when he collided with a 2010 black Toyota Corolla around 2:30 a.m. Thursday. He was charged with evading responsibility and operating without a license. A $500 bond was set for Flores, and Immigration Customs Enforcement was also holding him on a detainer.

The other car’s driver, Charlene Batista, 20, of 9 French Terrace in Yonkers, N.Y., was cited for following too close.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident, police said.
