RYE, N.Y. – An investigation is under way after a man was found dead Friday morning on the Metro-North train tracks near the Rye station, according to authorities.

There were delays of up to 25 minutes in both directions throughout the morning commute. Minor delays are continuing during the day.

The man was observed on the tracks by a southbound train headed from Connecticut at approximately 7:30 a.m. He may not have been struck by a train and may have already been dead when spotted by the train, according to reports.
