Man Avoids Prison In Greenwich Child Sex Abuse Case

STAMFORD, Conn. -- A 38-year-old former Stamford resident avoided prison time for the sexual abuse of a 10-year-old Greenwich girl by pleading guilty to a lesser charge of child endangerment, according to the stamfordadvocate.com.

Jamey Rivera was arrested in June 2010 and charged with first-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor, accused of sodomizing the girl for five years, reported the stamfordadvocate.com.

Rivera, who appeared in court on Nov. 4, pleaded guilty to a felony charge of risk of injury to a child, said the stamfordadvocate.com.
