Man Arrested in Greenwich With Joint in His Car

A 73-year-old man was given a summons Monday after police found a joint in his car. Albert Schlesinger, 73, of 4 Murdock Road in Scarsdale, was stopped after repeatedly beeping his car horn while waiting in traffic on Arch Street. During the stop, the officer smelled burnt marijuana in the car and found the joint. Schlesinger was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a promise to appear in court on March 7.

? William Patterson Micik, 22, of 74 Stonehedge Drive in Greenwich, was arrested Monday when he allegedly tried to make a pre-arranged sale of stolen property in the McDonald's parking lot at 1215 East Putnam Ave. Micik’s buyer was actually a police detective, officers said. Micik was charged with larceny and released on a promise to appear in court on March 7.

? Sean Fitzgerald, 32, of 487 Dayton Road in Trumbull, was arrested Monday on a warrant charging him with failure to appear. He was arrested when police stopped him for motor vehicle violations. Fitzgerald had failed to appear in court on Feb. 1 on charges stemming from a motor vehicle incident Feb. 13, 2010. He was released on a $500 bond and is due in court on March 7.
