GREENWICH, Conn. A Port Chester, N.Y., man was arrested in Greenwich Thursday for burglary and larceny when police found a warrant out for his arrest from 2009.
Sean Welch, 40, of 4 Willow St., was the passenger in a car pulled over on the Exit 2 northbound ramp of I-95.
The warrant stemmed from a Dec. 28, 2009 incident in which Welch had broken into his ex-girlfriends Greenwich apartment after being warned to stay away, police said.
Welch and the woman had ended their relationship, but he continued to show up at her apartment, said Lt. Kraig Gray.
In this instance, Welch had broken in through a window and taken photos of himself in the apartment and sent them to his ex-girlfriend, who was not home at the time, police said.
He then stole some her personal property and had disturbed some of her undergarments that had been in the closet, police said.
Welch was arrested and released on a $1,000 bond. He is due in court on Dec. 16.
