Man Arrested After Thwarting Greenwich 911 Call

GREENWICH, Conn. — A Stamford man was arrested in Greenwich on Wednesday after an argument that escalated when the victim attempted to call 911, police said.

The 44-year-old suspect slapped away the phone from the victim when she tried to call for help, police said. He was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and interfering with a 911 call. He was released on $5,000 bond and is due in court Friday.
