Louise Anne Halpin, Longtime Greenwich Resident

GREENWICH, Conn. – Louise Anne Halpin, a longtime resident of Greenwich, died at home Jan. 19. She was 71.

Halpin was born in White Plains, N.Y., on July 1, 1940, to Rupert Rogers and Evelyn Nyberg. She and her husband John Halpin moved to Greenwich, where she was active with the Greenwich Hibernians, Greenwich Celtic Society and Sacred Heart Church.

Halpin is survived by her husband of 45 years, John; daughter Maggie and husband David Williams; daughter Liz and husband Declan Carbin; and five grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday at Sacred Hearth Church. Burial was at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Greenwich.
