The work is part of two area projects that have been going on for over a month: the Greenwich Common and Phase II of the Town Hall Exterior Site Improvements. The town expects the overall project to last three to four months through the end of the summer.

Plans are for the sidewalk to be fenced off for the installation of new lighting and sidewalks. The sidewalk is closed as of Thursday.

Anyone who needs access to the area can use the sidewalks on Field Point Road, West Elm Street and Greenwich Avenue, and access to the Havemeyer Soccer Field is available via the Town Hall Garage.
