Lake Avenue In Greenwich Closed After Accident, Downed Pole

GREENWICH, Conn. – Lake Avenue has reopened for traffic on late Thursday morning, police said. Repair work is complete on the fallen pole.

Lake Avenue is closed in backcountry Greenwich between Burying Hill Road and Old Mill Road after an accident.

original story: GREENWICH, Conn. – Lake Avenue in backcountry Greenwich was closed on Thursday morning after a car crash took out a utility pole, Greenwich police said via Twitter. 

The accident was in the area near 900 Lake Ave. 

The road is closed between Burying Hill Road and Old Mill Road, police said.

The road will remain closed until after the morning rush hour, police said. 

Motorists should avoid the area, police said.
