Julia Misiti; Longtime Cos Cob Resident

GREENWICH, Conn. — Julia Misiti of Cos Cob died at the Woodbriar Nursing Facility in Wilmington, Mass., on Aug. 16. She was 91.

Misiti was the daughter of the late Louis and Aniela Marciniak. She was predeceased by her brothers John and Anthony Marciniak and her sisters Anne Augustine and Mary Mathey.

In Greenwich, she was an active member of the Bruce Memorial Golf Course, now known as the Griffith E. Harris Golf Course and was honored with a plaque for her hole in one achievement in 1982. She was also a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of Sacred Heart Church.

Misiti is survived by her son Mark Misiti and wife Kathy of Round Rock, Texas; daughter Grace Greene and husband Thomas of Burlington, Mass.; grandchildren Kristin French and husband Brent and Jennifer LeBlanc and husband Steve; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Sacred Heart Church, 95 Henry St., Greenwich.
