Jean Cunningham, School Administrator

Jean J. Cunningham, a former Greenwich school administrator who moved of Bayonet Point, Fla., after retiring, died Nov. 26. She was 88 years old.

Cunningham was born in Port Chester and raised in Byram. She spent most of her life in Greenwich. She graduated from Greenwich High School, where she served as class president and was sports. Her late husband Joe Cunningham, served in the Army Air Force during World War II, and the couple lived in Utah, Nevada and California before returning to Greenwich in 1946.

She spent career as an administrator at the North Street School and was known for her dedication to the students. Cunningham worked at the school for almost 30 years. She was an avid golfer and sports lover and won a number of golf tournaments after she moved to Bayonet Point, Fla.

Cunningham is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Feldman, a grandson, and a great-grandchild. A Mass will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Greenwich on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to Hernando-Pasco Hospice in Hudson, Fla.
