She now lives in the gated condominium complex called The Gables in Old Greenwich, making a daily walk to the nearby Upper Crust Bagel Company for breakfast, according to the Post.

Ruth Madoff, who refused to talk to the Post, leads a quiet life in Greenwich, taking Pilates, getting her hair done, walking on the beach, wearing jeans and helping out a church bazaar for Christmas, the New York Post said.

Bernie Madoff pleaded guilty to cheating his investors through a Ponzi scheme and was sentenced to 150 years in prison and forfeited $17 billion. As part of his plea deal, Ruth Madoff was allowed to keep $2.5 million. She lost one son to suicide and another to cancer since her husband's conviction.

"The Wizard of Lies,” which is based on Diana B. Henriques's best-selling book, will premiere on May 20. It stars Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer, who met with Ruth Madoff before filming.
