Harrison, N.Y. Chase Bank Robbed

HARRISON, N.Y. - A middle-aged man robbed the Chase bank at 402 Halstead Avenue around 10 a.m. Thursday morning by handing a note to a bank teller, Harrison police said. He left the bank possinbly on foot with roughly $5,500 cash, police said.

There was no evidence the man had a weapon and no one was injured.

His note read, "I have a gun and I am not afraid to use it," police said.

According to Harrison Police Chief Anthony Marraccini, the robbery was quick.

Harrison Police secured several photos of the man throughout the robbery via video surveillance and passed around his photo in the surrounding area asking locals if they recognized the man. He was a white male with short dark hair with a gray YMCA T-shirt.

Police said that anyone with information on the suspect or the robbery should contact the Harrison Police Department at (914) 967-5110.
