Greenwich's Saks Plans 'A Festive Evening' To Help Syrian Refugees

GREENWICH, Conn. - The community is invited to attend “A Festive Evening on the Avenue” on Dec. 3 at Saks Fifth Avenue in Greenwich, which will benefit Fairfield-based Save the Children's relief efforts surrounding the Syrian refugee crisis.

Guests will enjoy holiday cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, complimentary makeovers and holiday shopping at the event at Saks Fifth Avenue. 

Tickets to the annual event, which is hosted by Saks Fifth Avenue and Save the Children’s Greenwich Leadership Club, cost $20 and can be purchased online, at www.savethechildren.org/glc-saks-event, or at the door. 

A total of 100 percent of the ticket proceeds will go to Save the Children’s response work surrounding the Syrian refugee crisis.

Saks Fifth Avenue will also donate 10 percent of the evening’s shopping sales to Save the Children. 

The event will be on Thursday, Dec. 3, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Saks Fifth Avenue, 205 Greenwich Ave.

The chairs for the benefit are Elizabeth O'Brien and Jeanne Mininall. 

Vice President of Humanitarian Response at Save the Children, Greg Ramm, will serve as guest speaker and will discuss the Syrian Refugee Crisis. 

Fairfield-based Save the Children gives children in the United States and around the world a healthy start, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm by investing in childhood — every day, in times of crisis and for our future. 

The Greenwich Leadership Council supports Save the Children through awareness, advocacy and fundraising.
