GREENWICH, Conn. -- Judge Judy, the star of the TV show of the same name who has a home in Greenwich, is accused of buying more than $500,000 worth of china and flatware for just a tenth of it value, according to a story in the New York Daily News.

A lawsuit filed in Los Angeles by Patrice Jones on Tuesday accuses Judge Judy, who real name is Judy Sheindlin, of buying the valuable items from Randy Douthit, a producer of her show and Jones' estranged husband, even though she knew Jones had equal ownership of the property.

"I have not seen any complaint by the former Mrs. Douthit, however, I don't owe this lady a cent," Sheindlin said.

But Jones' lawyer, Perry Wander, said Sheindlin knew "a spouse cannot sell community property without the written consent of both spouses and certainly not at 10 cents on the dollar."
