A portion of Fairfield Road in Greenwich will be closed until Tuesday evening due to repair work by Connecticut Light & Power.
The work is related to power reliability in the Greenwich area and was prompted by last week's wide-ranging outages. The road will be open and plated until 9 p.m. Monday, when it will be closed to all vehicular traffic. The road will reopen from 7 to 9 a.m. Tuesday morning for limited school bus traffic. It will then close until another school bus traffic period from 2 to 4 p.m. All residents traveling in the area should do their best to avoid Fairfield Road and expect long delays.
