Greenwich Teen Found Dead in Home

The death of an 18-year-old Greenwich resident found unresponsive and unconscious in his home Saturday morning was under investigation, police said Monday.

The cause of death for the teen, identified as Christopher T. Harris, remained unknown, pending the completion of toxicology analysis. According to Lt. Kraig Gray, spokesman for the Greenwich Police Department, Harris had underlying medical issues, and investigators believe intoxicants may have been a contributing factor in his death.

Members of the Greenwich Police Detective Division were investigating the incident. Further information will be released as to the manner and cause of death when it becomes available. An autopsy was completed Monday by the Office of the State's Chief Medical Examiner.

Medical personnel attempted to aid the young man at his home on Florence Road. He was transported to Stamford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
