Greenwich Teen Charged With Assault on Stepdad

GREENWICH, Conn. – A 16-year-old boy arrested Tuesday in Greenwich on suspicion of assaulting his stepfather was also charged with possession of marijuana, police said.

The teen was smoking pot around three juveniles siblings in the home where he lives with the stepfather, police said.

He punched his stepfather, slammed the man's head against a wall and broke a glass  window on the front door before leaving the home, police said.

The boy was charged with disorderly conduct, three counts of risk of injury to a minor, assault, criminal mischief, possession of marijuana less than 7 ounces, and possession of marijuana with intent to sell, police said.

The teen was released to his father and is due in court on Jan. 10.

Also from the Greenwich Police Department:

• Douglas Alcaide, 34, of 383 Huguenot St. in New Rochelle, N.Y., turned himself in Wednesday on a warrant charging him with harassment and violation of a protection order stemming from an incident on Oct. 29 in which he placed numerous unwanted phone calls to his ex-wife. He was being held on a $1,000 bond and is due to appear in court

• Wesley Alves Teixeira, 31, of 37 Valley Road, Apt. #2 in Cos Cob, was arrested Wednesday following a car accident on the intersection of Post Road and Salem Street. He was charged with reckless driving, following too close, four counts of unsafe tires, operating a vehicle with out of state plates past 60 days, and having an out of state license past 60 days. At department headquarters, police say they determind Teixeira was in the U.S. without permission. He was held on an ICE detainer with a bond of $2,500.
