GREENWICH, Conn. A 16-year-old boy arrested Tuesday in Greenwich on suspicion of assaulting his stepfather was also charged with possession of marijuana, police said.
The teen was smoking pot around three juveniles siblings in the home where he lives with the stepfather, police said.
He punched his stepfather, slammed the man's head against a wall and broke a glass window on the front door before leaving the home, police said.
The boy was charged with disorderly conduct, three counts of risk of injury to a minor, assault, criminal mischief, possession of marijuana less than 7 ounces, and possession of marijuana with intent to sell, police said.
The teen was released to his father and is due in court on Jan. 10.

Wesley Alves Teixeira, 31, of 37 Valley Road, Apt. #2 in Cos Cob, was arrested Wednesday following a car accident on the intersection of Post Road and Salem Street. He was charged with reckless driving, following too close, four counts of unsafe tires, operating a vehicle with out of state plates past 60 days, and having an out of state license past 60 days. At department headquarters, police say they determind Teixeira was in the U.S. without permission. He was held on an ICE detainer with a bond of $2,500.
