GREENWICH, Conn. – A former Greenwich High School student who attends the College of Charleston died early Sunday after falling off a roof, according to The Post and Courier of Charleston, S.C.

Spencer Pitts, 23, was reportedly on the roof with a group of friends when he fell, the Charleston Police Department reported. He died shortly afterward at Medical University of South Carolina Hospital. Toxicology reports are pending, and foul play is not suspected, police said.

Pitts was a senior economics major and member of Kappa Alpha fraternity, a school spokesman told the news outlet.

According to Pitt’s LinkedIn and Facebook pages, he attended Greenwich High School from 2003-04 and Millenium High School in New York City from 2005-06. He also attended Robert Louis Stevenson School in New York City and Eaglebrook School in Deerfield, Mass.

He had volunteered with the nonprofit God’s Love We Deliver. He most recently interned at the hedge fund FrontPoint Partners and the Chicago Board of Options Exchange. He was co-founder of a local landscaping company, Lighhouse Yard Maintenance, and worked briefly as a production assistant for a television special for Madison Square Garden.
