Greenwich Residents Named To Forbes' 2016 World Billionaires List

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Several Fairfield County residents were listed among the world's billionaires by Forbes.

Greenwich's Ray Dalio was the highest ranking billionaire in the state of Connecticut, coming in at No. 48 overall. Dalio, founder of investment firm Bridgewater Associates in Westport, is worth $15.6 billion, Forbes said. 

Fellow hedge-fund manager Steve Cohen of Greenwich was second in Connecticut and No. 72 overall with a net worth of $12.7 billion, Forbes reported.

  • Paul Tudor Jones II of Greenwich, No. 308, $4.7 billion
  • Peter Buck of Danbury, No. 435, $3.5 billion
  • Andreas Halvorsen of Darien, No. 549, $3.1 billion
  • Stephen Mandel Jr. of Greenwich, No. 688, $2.5 billion
  • C. Dean Metropoulos of Greenwich, No. 722, $2.4 billion
  • Lucy Stitzer of Greenwich, No. 1198, $1.5 billion
  • Mario Gabelli of Greenwich, No. 1,275, $1.4 billion
  • William Berkley of Greenwich, No. 1,577, $1.1 billion
  • William E. Macaulay of Greenwich, No. 1,694, $1 billion
  • Robert Citrone of Fairfield, No. 1,694, $1 billion

Microsoft founder Bill Gates once again topped the list with an estimated worth of $75 billion.
