The Planning & Zoning Board of Appeals rejected the proposal because the size of the building and the traffic generated would conflict with the characteristics of the neighborhood, the Greenwich Post reported.

The synagogue's lawsuit claims that met all Planning and Zoning Commission requirements and that two larger houses of worship currently operate in the area, the Greenwich Post said.
