GREENWICH, Conn. Jeff Weber, executive vice-president of Blue Star Media Group, which owns WGCH radio in Greenwich, announced his resignation Tuesday.
Weber, who has worked at the company nearly 10 years, is resigning effective Dec. 30. The company owns the Business TalkRadio Network and the Lifestyle TalkRadio Network as well as radio stations in Las Vegas, Pittsburgh, Boston and Stamford/Norwalk, CT.
"I am extremely proud of our company's growth since I joined it," Weber said. "It's been very gratifying to see us increase the affiliate base of 112 stations airing BTRN's programming to more than 1,000 now carrying the shows of LTRN and BTRN.
In addition, the acquisition of the companys four radio properties helped round out a solid company, he said.
He credited the many employees of Blue Star's networks and radio stations for the company's success.
Weber said he is exploring opportunities within the industry and that in the meantime he would be available for short-term consulting or "fill-in" market manager positions.
